Santa # 7

Another Santa completed!  Number six was fun to stitch as he was a gardener and the flowers have been so pretty this year in my little perennial bed.  I really am glad that Santa enjoys to garden in the off season, it must be quite relaxing for him.

Then of course since the Linen and Threads SAL's new chart hasn't come out yet, I decided to get a start on Santa # 7.  I chose him since he's a patriotic Santa and has on his three corner hat and has a flag and bugle in his pack.  I thought that would be quite fitting as we are coming up on Flag Day and before you know it, it will be time to celebrate the Fourth of July!

I couldn't resist laying the six finished Santa's out and snapping a picture.  Three were done on 16 ct aida and 3 on 18 ct aida.  I like variety I guess!

    1. I sure hope things settle down by the fourth! I for one haven't gone to see fireworks in person in years. I prefer to watch the celebrations on the public broadcasting stations.

  3. Love the gardening Santa! This is the first that I've seen him. I have one Prairie Schooler Santa chart, but it's too fine and black & white for my eyes to follow along. I could enlarge it, but need the color. Looking forward to seeing #7.

    1. I copy my patterns and mark off what I have done with a orange highlighter. That helps a lot but these really are pretty basic crossstitch. I am not into anything to complicated!

    1. Yes some have a lot of stitches but they are complicated. Not much backstitching and no half stitches etc!

  6. Love how the different colors of the background add great depth to the Santas. They are going to look great together.

    1. Thanks, I too like the different backgrounds. I used a bit less tea in my second dyeing bath and am happy with the results.
