Texas is finally warming and flowers are opening all over my little flower bed and my stitching! I planted some lily bulbs a couple of years ago and they are doing well!
And in my stitching, Santa # 6 of my 12 Santa Jouney is a gardener! He now is holding his watering can and I've started his wheelbarrow and even a few flowers were added this week.
I am waiting for my white Easter lilies that I planted from last years inside decorations to bloom - the last I checked they had buds so maybe they will be open soon - they stayed much shorter than I had expected.
ReplyDeletelove your cross stitch
Hope those Easter Lillies are opening up now that we are getting some sunnier days
DeleteGotta love a Santa who loves gardening. =) He is looking great. Wonderful that Texas sun of yours is sprinkling sunbeams onto your flowers and helping them bloom. Enjoy your stitching.....and those flowers.
ReplyDeleteYes, full Sun plants anywhere else need to be planted on the north side here. Our Texas sun can be brutal
DeleteBeautiful flowers, and love your Santa!
ReplyDeleteThanks so excited to start yet another Santa
DeleteI didn't know Santa gardened up at the North Pole! Learn something new every day! Pretty flowers you have blooming.
ReplyDeleteHe's such a talented elf isn't he?
DeleteThis Santa is a cute one! I love his flowers and watering can!
ReplyDeleteYeah that watering can is precious and I am thinking those must be pointsettas
DeleteThings are blooming here as well. LOVE your Santa! Keep on stitching. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the encouragement. I love springtime!
DeleteGorgeous lilies. Santa is very cute, I like his expression!
ReplyDeleteLillies seem to do well here. Many perennials I grew further north do not so I am happy they are happy here.
DeleteYour flowers are lovely, the wind has blown all my poor flowers to bits this weekend, I'm hoping they will recover, your stitching is lovely. xx
ReplyDeleteOh that naughty wind, but it can be hard on our plants. My bed is a bit protected from the wind and I am very thankful
DeleteBeautiful flowers, and what a happy looking gardening Santa!
ReplyDeleteThanks, I am really enjoying Santa in the off season
DeleteMy lilies haven't bloomed yet. I will have to spray them soon to discourage the bunnies from eating them. Love the gardening Santa.
ReplyDeleteMy iris were real late blooming, or at least I thought so. I am looking forward to dividing and rearranging my perennial bed this fall as it was a bit thrown together.
DeleteWhat I remember most about Texas flowers are the Bluebonnets! I miss them.
ReplyDeleteYes the bluebonnets don't last long but they sure are lovely!
DeleteSo fun to stitch a gardening Santa... enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI agree, somehow I knew Santa would love gardening
