Oh so beautiful! I am in awe of your beautiful appliqué work. You're so talented.
I don't know about talented, but I do enjoy applique. They are my favorite type of quilts to hand quilt.
Lovely...and so well done too!
Thanks Ellen, It's like anything else you do practice helps.
Wow! I love the colors and the pop of yellow is wonderful.
Yeah the red and green with the pop of yellow is my favorite, very traditional but still gorgeous.
Beautiful! I agree, the pop of yellow is great.
Thanks Raewyn, I love the traditional red and green quilts. They never seem to go out of style.
It's beautiful :-)
Thanks Radka, It's my once in a life time quilt!
I like that on this block the applique is not in a circle. Something different.
I agree, the designer of this quilt had such a good eye. It amazes me that she was able to do this many years ago.
Just lovely!!! :)
Thanks Deb, looking forward to the next block which is a vase of flowers. I love doing the vases.
So pretty. What method of applique do you use? The result is very nice.
5:43:00 PMI do needle turn, Jill. Sometimes I back baste but for most of my applique I use the freezer paper on top method. I used to mark the seams but I hate doing the marking and the freezer paper on top works well for me.
