More Blue Blocks!

Well, I have finally caught on that November has arrived. We have had such lovely weather and the leaves have not started to drop here.  In fact, they are just starting to show some color.  I have been busy with my applique and enjoying every minute.  They say time flies when your having fun!  I was glad that Angela picked more blue for November's RSC.  I still had some blue scraps too!  So here is are my pickle dish blocks for November.

Three pickle - dish blocks
As you can see I was a on a roll so why not just dig in and get my wonky star block finished too!   Just one more month and these blocks will turn into two quilt tops! How exciting!

  3. we seem to have enough variety of trees that we have trees turning color and leaves dropping for over 2 months - which makes it pretty but if you want to wait to clean the yard you really need to wait until the end of November to do it. I have several that have dropped all their leaves and others just turning color now.

    1. We have mostly oaks and pines! No fun at all. We do have two black gums although they are not very big but they do have a nice show of color. My willow oak has dropped a few leaves but the oaks are still pretty green. Maybe the cold this week will turn them brown. We usually are not done with leaves till right before Christmas. Of course as you know, some of the oak leaves don't come down till the new leaves start sprouting in the spring, I just hate that!

  8. You were busy! You are going to have two gorgeous quilts. I'm kind of anxious to start getting some tops together too. I have to finish up a few Christmas gifts first before I can get back to my regularly scheduled sewing.
I'm looking forward to everyone's RSC projects next year too.

    1. They are both fun to work on! I have really enjoyed the slow process of only having to sew four blocks a month.
