Well, I have finally caught on that November has arrived. We have had such lovely weather and the leaves have not started to drop here. In fact, they are just starting to show some color. I have been busy with my applique and enjoying every minute. They say time flies when your having fun! I was glad that Angela picked more blue for November's RSC. I still had some blue scraps too! So here is are my pickle dish blocks for November.

As you can see I was a on a roll so why not just dig in and get my wonky star block finished too! Just one more month and these blocks will turn into two quilt tops! How exciting!

I like the blue pickle dish blocks. Especially the one shown on the left with the stripe fabric.
ReplyDeleteYes I like the directional fabric too! I have used in two different directions in the quilt! Should add some great interest!
Deletelove those pickle dish blocks - I've always loved that pattern
ReplyDeleteI do too! I think it is the one block that I would do again cause they are so fun!
Deletewe seem to have enough variety of trees that we have trees turning color and leaves dropping for over 2 months - which makes it pretty but if you want to wait to clean the yard you really need to wait until the end of November to do it. I have several that have dropped all their leaves and others just turning color now.
ReplyDeleteWe have mostly oaks and pines! No fun at all. We do have two black gums although they are not very big but they do have a nice show of color. My willow oak has dropped a few leaves but the oaks are still pretty green. Maybe the cold this week will turn them brown. We usually are not done with leaves till right before Christmas. Of course as you know, some of the oak leaves don't come down till the new leaves start sprouting in the spring, I just hate that!
DeleteI love how your pickle dish blocks are turning out - so cute!
ReplyDeleteI love the variety of projects that everyone has chosen! It will be great to see them get completed!
DeleteI love the pickle dish blocks you have been making all year. Can't wait to see them all together!
ReplyDeleteWon't be long now!
DeleteBeautiful pickle dishes. Have a great weekend
ReplyDeleteThanks Carla! They are so much fun to make!
DeleteLovely blocks! That pickle dish with the stripe is really fun!
ReplyDeleteYeah directional fabrics really take the block over the top!
DeleteYou were busy! You are going to have two gorgeous quilts. I'm kind of anxious to start getting some tops together too. I have to finish up a few Christmas gifts first before I can get back to my regularly scheduled sewing.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to everyone's RSC projects next year too.
Oh yeah show and tell will be fun! There is so much variety!
DeleteThe Pickle Dish blocks look like they will add some nice variety to your quilt. Love the Wonky Star too -- it is such a fun pattern that you can't help but smile when you see it.
ReplyDeleteGreat work!
I think so too! Looking forward to next month when I can finally decide how I want to lay them out and decide on a border!
DeleteLove those pickle dish blocks. It is one of the quilt patterns on my bucket list. Great job!
ReplyDeleteI never use the same block in a quilt, but this is one I would do again!
DeleteI'm looking forward to seeing all the pickle dish blocks together!
ReplyDeleteMe too! I was tempted to lay them all out, but decided I will wait till next month. I better start thinking about a border.

ReplyDeleteThey are both fun to work on! I have really enjoyed the slow process of only having to sew four blocks a month.
DeleteLove those pickle dish and star blocks. Thoroughly enjoyed watching you make them each month. I look forward to seeing them become quilts next month.
