November Goals

Well, before you know it November will arrive, so I decided to link up with Kathi and see if I can get some things done.  In November I hope to:
  1. make three pickle dish blocks for RSC
  2. make a wonky star block for RSC
  3. Finish the borders for Baltimore Garden
  4. Return to hand quilting Simple but Not!
  5. Plan a setting for my Cogwheel and Chintz quilt
  6. Finish my churn dash mini.
That should be doable.  As for October as you can see most of my list was completed.

I had a few more things I accomplished as I made a mini churn dash top and I started my borders for Baltimore Garden.  But, I easily put off cutting up the small scraps in my little basket.  Maybe I can still get it done if I put it on my Monday morning list.

  1. I don't even want to start a list -- there is too much to put on it - instead I will watch all of you and see if you accomplish your goals :)

    1. Oh I have had that problem too! I no longer make list of quilts I want to make. I just hope to finish what I have started. I felt kind of bad about not cutting up my small baskset of scraps so I took a break from my border and cut some of them up, hopefully I will do the other half tomorrow

  3. I love those projects all! Especially Simple But Not!! You have set up some definitely do-able goals. I have trouble setting goals...they feel like my deadlines for concerts too much for me...ah youth. hugs, Julierose

    1. I hope they keep me on track till the end of the year. I want to start my eagle applique and use my George's but I promised myself Baltimore Garden needs to become a top first. I have a lot of ideas going thru my head but nothing on paper yet.

    1. It is a pattern from Small Pieces, Spectacular Quilts by Mary Elizabeth Kinch and Biz Storms It is actually the quilt on the cover, but I wanted to use a cheddar solid for the background

  5. Great job on your goals! I keep telling myself there are 5 more full days of October to finish things up =). No set deadlines for me so if things get done - great! If not... there is always next month.

    1. Yeah, but not getting the scraps done bothers me a bit as I promised to keep up on them after I spent several years cutting up a LARGE Rubbermaid tote packed full of scraps. I cut about half of them up this afternoon and hopefully will finish them up in the am. But I agree not to big of a deal but it does seem to help me get all my projects moving forward

  10. Cute mini churn dash! I think making a list and finding someone to hold me accountable just might motivate me to get more done. Looks like its working for you!

  12. Good luck on your goals. I'd never get anything done if it weren't for goals...daily goals, weekly goals, monthly goals, long term goals. Now if only I could convince my adult children that they need goals. Ok, so maybe I will work on convincing the grandkids.

Looking forward to your Cogwheel and Chintz!
