Well, before you know it November will arrive, so I decided to link up with Kathi and see if I can get some things done. In November I hope to:
I had a few more things I accomplished as I made a mini churn dash top and I started my borders for Baltimore Garden. But, I easily put off cutting up the small scraps in my little basket. Maybe I can still get it done if I put it on my Monday morning list.
- make three pickle dish blocks for RSC
- make a wonky star block for RSC
- Finish the borders for Baltimore Garden
- Return to hand quilting Simple but Not!
- Plan a setting for my Cogwheel and Chintz quilt
- Finish my churn dash mini.

I don't even want to start a list -- there is too much to put on it - instead I will watch all of you and see if you accomplish your goals :)
ReplyDeleteOh I have had that problem too! I no longer make list of quilts I want to make. I just hope to finish what I have started. I felt kind of bad about not cutting up my small baskset of scraps so I took a break from my border and cut some of them up, hopefully I will do the other half tomorrow
Deletegreat accomplishments! cute little quilt :)
ReplyDeleteCan you believe that is my first churn dash block?LOL
DeleteI love those projects all! Especially Simple But Not!! You have set up some definitely do-able goals. I have trouble setting goals...they feel like my deadlines for concerts too much for me...ah youth. hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteI hope they keep me on track till the end of the year. I want to start my eagle applique and use my George's but I promised myself Baltimore Garden needs to become a top first. I have a lot of ideas going thru my head but nothing on paper yet.
DeleteP.S.Did you draw your own pumpkin peel pattern for foundations?? I just love that scrappiness...hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteIt is a pattern from Small Pieces, Spectacular Quilts by Mary Elizabeth Kinch and Biz Storms It is actually the quilt on the cover, but I wanted to use a cheddar solid for the background
DeleteGreat job on your goals! I keep telling myself there are 5 more full days of October to finish things up =). No set deadlines for me so if things get done - great! If not... there is always next month.
ReplyDeleteYeah, but not getting the scraps done bothers me a bit as I promised to keep up on them after I spent several years cutting up a LARGE Rubbermaid tote packed full of scraps. I cut about half of them up this afternoon and hopefully will finish them up in the am. But I agree not to big of a deal but it does seem to help me get all my projects moving forward
DeleteI'm such a list maker too!!! I think I love the "scratching" things OFF the list most! LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteOh I agree Valerie, that check mark or line is a very good feeling.
DeleteSo happy you will pull back out Simple but Not... LOVE those feathers!!! Congrats on meeting your goals and making your goals achieveable... that is wonderful! Thanks so much for linking up with me... looking forward to seeing this little mini get quilted and your other projects moving along as well! Have a blessed week and happy stitching! Kathi
ReplyDeleteYeah with cooler weather on the way, time to work on Simple but Not again. I hoped to finish it by years end, we will see.
DeleteYour mini-churn dash is darling . . . I love that block! Doesn't it feel oh-so-good to check off an item from your list??! :)
ReplyDeleteMy first churn dash, can you believe that! I am thinking about doing a large red and white quilt and just may use this block, it was fun to make.
DeleteLove that little mini...so cute :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, I love doing minis and my wall needed a new addition, hadn't made one in a long time.
DeleteCute mini churn dash! I think making a list and finding someone to hold me accountable just might motivate me to get more done. Looks like its working for you!
ReplyDeleteLove your mini churn dash quilt! Perhaps I should make a list too...
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your goals. I'd never get anything done if it weren't for goals...daily goals, weekly goals, monthly goals, long term goals. Now if only I could convince my adult children that they need goals. Ok, so maybe I will work on convincing the grandkids.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to your Cogwheel and Chintz!
