Well with the cold blast we are getting I am so happy to have my Texas Star quilt in my hoop. I find my favorite time to hand quilt is when I first get up in the morning. It's a wonderful way to slowly start my day. Maybe I will sit behind the hoop this evening too, it would be nice to have my quilting to distract me from the Cowboys game. Such a hard year to be a fan!
the quilting is coming along great - yes we have been having a cold spell here in the south haven't we - from over by you to here in Arkansas - 25 yesterday morning is too cold this early
ReplyDeleteYes three chances for frost this week it's bound to happen about two weeks early for us! My husband is going to try to keep the fig tree going but it may be frivilous!
DeleteOh great that you are able to hand quilt this one-it is lovely.
ReplyDeleteWe will be rooting for our Patriots this afternoon; and I hope to take out my little quilt to try a few lines of hand work--if my arthritis allows...I miss doing all my handworks a lot... hugs, Julierose
Oh my your Tom Brady is not liked much in this part of the country! He and his team even beat my Packers. LOL But it is all in fun but sometimes just sometimes you want to win a game.
DeleteWonderful work, I do admire those who have the patience for hand quilting!
ReplyDeleteOh I find hand quilting easier than machine quilting and admire those that can make a feather on a machine! It's all good as long as it works for us!
DeleteWhat a lovely way to start--and finish--a day! It really is a tough year for Cowboy fans; sorry about that. Hope your stitching kept you warm *and* distracted! :)
ReplyDeleteYes it is hard year to be a fan, but we did win the game so not much stitching got done that evening!
DeleteI love starting my day out with slow stitching... I am really enjoying your view on your hoop also! Kathi
ReplyDeleteThanks Kathi! I really do too!
DeleteHow cold was it? I know cold weather seemed to come early this fall. But not where I live.
ReplyDeleteWe got down to 30 degrees this am! Burrrrrrr!
ReplyDeleteIt's my favorite time of year for hand quilting, when the air starts getting a little chilly and the quilt feels so good on our laps. My fave time for quilting is very late in the evening, just before I go to bed.:)
ReplyDeleteI do most of my quilting early in the am, but I have been known to get up when I can't sleep and put in some stitches! Anyway, its a great way to relax!
