Not sure what has happened to the month of June. I guess I have been too busy to sit and relax. So, that is what I am planning for the rest of the afternoon. Adding some navy scraps left over from Scrappy Happy to my TATW. It has been a while since I have taken any slow stitches, sure do miss them.
love that quilt - it is turning out really well
ReplyDeleteI am enjoying working on it more than I thought. Long term project becoming like an old time friend.
DeleteSome months are busier than others. Maybe July will be your chance to sit and stitch a bit.
ReplyDeleteSure hope so! I am sure things will slow down soon.
DeleteThe blue is a good colour choice - this is looking great! Hope you got your afternoon of stitching!
ReplyDeleteThanks, I did get to sit about an hour. A bit more stitching today and now I need to mark seams lines on the rest of the squares.
DeleteYour quilt is amazing! Wow, that's a lot of piecing. Hope things slow down so you can find more time for stitching. I understand and share your frustration!
ReplyDeleteI just seem to get tired a lot faster than I used to. Hubby's at home after surgery for maybe up to six weeks. I probably just need to go in the sewing room and hide.
DeleteI thought that was the same blue you had used in Scrappy Happy! Very cool :) Loving how your TATW is turning out... so if you are on round 24 how big will it get still?
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great week Carla! Kathi
Not sure how big it will get. I am not ready for it to end soon. I know for sure I want to make it to 30, then we will see after that.
DeleteI love watching this project grow so I hope that you sat still for awhile :) So pretty...
ReplyDeleteEach color makes it look completely different! It is turning our really nice - love the blue this round.
ReplyDeleteSo true each round really changes the look. I love working on this just simple mindless stitching
DeleteI know. Seems like the 1st of June was just a couple of days ago ... and now it's the 22nd!! :-o
ReplyDeleteI feel like I blinked my eyes and June was almost gone. Working on some projects that just are slow going which doesn't help.
DeleteYikes, forgot to tell you that I'm loving that dark blue that you're using for this round on your TATW.
ReplyDeletePerfect choice of colour for the next round!
ReplyDeletePut your feet up, take a few stitches and relax today!
Thanks Kathy! It sure felt good!
DeleteThat's why it's called slow stitching-lol!
ReplyDeleteYes, I just need to relax and enjoy the stitches. Maybe if I put my nature sounds on I can drift away and get refreshed in my stitching.
DeleteBeautiful! I am loving each row of this quilt as it just adds more and more beauty to the quilt.:)
