Yes, it is definitely Hump day! I finished the quilting on the thirty-six inch center medallion on my Red and Green! I find quilting the center of a quilt a bit of a challenge, maybe it is my short arms. There are twelve blocks that surround this center block and each one will take some time to do. But progress is progress and I love celebrating small achievements that lead to bigger ones!
Love it, really beautiful !
ReplyDeleteThanks Bea!
DeleteBoy, this is truly lovely; as a applique-challenged person, I love to see all the wonderful applique quilts I can only dream about...yours is really beautiful...Hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteThanks Julierose! I feel the same way about pieced quilts. It's funny how it works that way.
DeleteWow ! that looks beautiful - you have done a wonderful job of that centre. Cross hatching always looks good but the outlining on the ? seed pods adds extra interest.

I have always loved traditional quilts, so why not just do what you like. I agree crosshatching always is the way to go with applique. Still need to decide whether to trapunto the feathers around the pineapples. Still a lot of quilting to do, so I have some time to contemplate!
DeleteHow beautiful. I can't wait to see the finished quilt. Enjoy the process!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ginney! I almost have two of the smaller blocks done. So I am thinking I should finish this right around Thanksgiving!
