I love this time of year, all the trees showing off their fall colors. So I decided to take a Craftsy class and make this bag with some of the bits and pieces in my stash.
I had a beautiful leaf fabric that I bought over ten years ago. I needed to find the right project to use it, and this bag fit the bill. It made a perfect lining fabric.
Have any of you taken a craftsy class? This was my first and I had a good experience. I also have a new appreciation for what bags are going for in the local box store.

Your bag turned out quite nice!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ellen, I think this won't be my last bag. It was a nice change of pace.
DeleteWell done! I've still never made a bag....
ReplyDeleteThanks Carla! I am sure I will be making another, fun small project!
DeleteI really like your bag. I have been looking at that class, but haven't taken it yet. :)
ReplyDeleteI love Craftsy. I have taken many classes and have enjoyed and learned a lot from most of them.
Thank you Diane, I loved her class and the bag turned out better than I expected. I used both methods of pockets and put two pockets in mine. Since I do a lot of hand work on my quilts, it was nice to do something by machine and get it done fairly quickly. I am looking forward to more craftsy classes in the future.
