This block is A2 Mary Anns' Mum Garden.
Do you set goals for yourself? I find that setting goals helps me keep on track. This summer my quilting goal was to finish at least twelve blocks and piece my pumpkin seed quilt. I am doing pretty well on my applique blocks, but I really need to get going on the pumpkin seed!
the blocks are really beautiful, I am so thrilled your staying on track with this quilt. I have always loved it and love it more every time I see another one of your blocks!
ReplyDeletegood for you staying so focused
Kathie
Thanks Kathie, It is such a pretty quilt, and I think finishing projects is something that was drilled into my head by my mom. I find setting little goals and challenging myself to do more detailed work, keeps me interested and happy with the results.
DeleteI think my favorite blocks are the ones with the swirl stems with leaves.
ReplyDeleteThey are wonderful aren't they? I can't wait to add some hand quilting to them.
DeleteOh your applique is fabulous! Great work.:)
ReplyDeleteThank you Audrey, I don't consider myself an expert, as this is only my fourth applique project. But, it does get easier the more I practice. I think back and remember how hard my hawaiian quilt was at the time I was doing it, now it would be a piece of cake.
DeleteAbsolutely gorgeous!! They are all lovely and I love the richness of the colours you have used. I set goals but find myself have to move the goalposts often..even when I think my goals are realistic!
ReplyDeleteThanks Raewyn, I don't always meet mine, but that is ok, but it does help to know that if I make an effort it will get done by goal date or close to it!
DeleteOh, those are so great!
