George's Cherry Tree

I finished the applique on this block today. The birds still need eyes, but that can wait till morning! That makes a total of seven blocks of twenty-five done! Now to choose which one to do next.

  1. The cherry tree block is wonderful! All the blocks look so very good shown all side by side. You are making a lot of progress.

    1. Thanks Karen! One stitch at a time! It is always inspirational to lay them all out side by side.

  2. love this block, love this quilt, you are tempting me to make this quilt now
LOVE the greens you are using...
are you sticking with any sort of plan for the colors /fabrics in the quilt?
can we sill the pile of fabrics your using for the quilt or do you just pull from the closet?
amazing how many blocks you have made so far already.

    1. Thank you Kathie, I will do a post on fabrics. I started picking fabrics with a walk thru my garden and decided one green just wouldn't do it. So I am basically using five different greens that are tone onto tones. The red is centennial turkey red solid, and so far have three yellows.
