Turning the corner

I have been stitching all afternoon.  My hope was  that I finish one side of the border per week.  I didn't quite accomplish my goal today.  I have the feathers and cable done on the second side but only about one half of the crosshatching. I still have a few hours to stitch this evening, but first I am heading over to Kathy's Quilts to see what others are slow stitching.

    1. I find that setting goals helps to get things done. I don't always achieve them. I often slow down on the home stretch, it's hard to let go of a project when you work on it a long time.

  4. Beautiful! I just love how you are quilting with a dark thread on a light fabric. Hope I have the confidence to do that some day! Thanks for linking up to Slow Sunday Stitching!

    1. This is my first attempt. Most of my quilts have neutral backgrounds and I used traditional natural thread, so I was stumped. I took Pepper Cory's advice and auditioned threads from a box of threads I inherited from my husband's grandmother. The electric blue seemed to work best, so glad companies are making hand quilting threads in beautiful colors now.
