Bunny hill design

I wanted to do this block of the month last year as it was offered online, but never got to it. I decided this year I would try to do the BOM faithfully, but just remember it is only January. I'm using my machine to do the applique so perhaps this is going to happen. Each block has a bit of embroidery to do and I love the combination of quilting and embroidery. So the enclosed photo is the January block. I also included a photo of a finished quilt, it was not done by me. I swear my sewing machine was so excited that she got turned on yesterday, and I must say it was fun to get it done so quickly.

  2. I saw the new BOM for 2010 Snowbound. May have to fit that one in in 2011. I already have gone thru my stash and have fabrics chosen for February and March. For now, I need to focus on getting my hawaiian quilt hand quilted. It is coming along but there is a lot of stitching to get done before summer arrives and it gets too warm to quilt. I also want to start a baltimore album so I have something to work on over the summer. Too many wants and not enough time.

  4. BOM stands for a block a month. A lot of quilters buy kits from Quilt shops etc and try to finish a block a month. This one just happens to have a block representing each month of the year. What is a BOD quilt?

  7. There is a Dear Jane quilt that is made up six inch blocks that are all different. I think it has like 225 blocks and the border is made up of triangles. I guess you could make it a BOD. I am sure if you googled it you could come up with a photo.
