The pain got so bad in my right thumb, I went to an orthopedist. Turned out I had a torn ligament, so I had surgery to replace it. Now, I can pinch that fabric with the best of them! :)<br />Your machine quilting is really great. Just relax and enjoy the process.Eileenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11791592886458322904noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3551007238143198780.post-27967041869112375962014-08-02T05:41:00.950-05:002014-08-02T05:41:00.950-05:00I do like your machine quilting. Too many seams to hand quilt. The pinching action of hand piecing or holding EPP bothers mine. I do agree the machine quilting is just not the same, but I did enjoy doing what I did today.Carla A Few Of My Favorite Thingshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14782840958923418159noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3551007238143198780.post-40160111569931260262014-08-01T04:57:19.772-05:002014-08-01T04:57:19.772-05:00So far hand quilting doesn't seem to bother my...So far hand quilting doesn't seem to bother my hands. But my hands do bother me if I do EPP or hand piecing very long. I think it is the pinching motion that bothers me. I'm still not entirely happy with the look of machine quilting though...might be time to try some better, less painful, hand quilting techniques.Every Stitchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12573090188337210419noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3551007238143198780.post-11306486710298155882014-07-31T18:33:28.567-05:002014-07-31T18:33:28.567-05:00sounds like the same reason I am beginning to do s...sounds like the same reason I am beginning to do some simple machine quilting in some of my quilts the last several years - I love the hand work, but I know my hands will not keep up with it.Karen - Quilts...etc.https://www.blogger.com/profile/07293429657903986492noreply@blogger.com
